This would be a good book for an almost 2nd grade reading level. ( I just noticed that the reading level of Junie B Jones books is on the back cover!!!) This could be a good book for a child who their mother is pregnant and doesn't know what to do with a new baby in the house.
This can go along with the other ideas I have had for Junie B Jones. Character or author analysis and reports or dress up days. Probably for about 1st or 2nd grade.
This would be a funny book to read aloud. This could coincide with people being nosey in the classroom and be an easy way to explain not everything is worth telling the teacher about. I just love the entire Junie B series.
With this Junie B. Jones the students could have a character party and bring food items to taste, such as fruitcake.
I love this character. I plan on getting all of them for my classroom. I think that with each one the child could do a book report on or dress up as that character for a day. They could also do a Author review and share to the class.
This is a fun read aloud book for k-2 and a self-read book for grades 3-5. When I was younger and read this book in second grade I got to dress up like Junie B. Jones. I think that would be a fun and exciting activity for this series.
Who was Dr.Suess? Only the greatest person who ever lived! This would be such a fun book at the beginning of the year to explain why he came up with the crazy fun words and characters he did in his life. This book could be used along with all of my Dr. Suess books and individual projects.
Students could do a short report or act out this person's life. This could go along with any history lesson or be a great read aloud book.
This could go along with the other ideas for the Who is Series. You could have one student per person and they could do a short report or even act out parts of the characters lives.
This book would be great for 2nd grade for Johnny Appleseed day. During my observations at Liberty Park my CT had fun activities and this would go along perfectly. They made "hats" out of construction paper that would be so exciting for them.
This series is so cool. I think using these books with older students would be great. There are so many interesting facts about our first president! These books can go along with any history lesson. You could assign one child one person and have them do a quick report.
This would be a great book to read through when you teach about presidents. This book has interesting facts about Lincoln and his life. You could use this book as a prop to start conversations, class projects or a mini class play and have students act out different stages of Lincolns life.
This is a book for new readers. Probably kindergarten or even preschool. A fun activity would be to get the class a piece of printer paper and make everyone stay quiet for about 5 minutes and color or draw what they "hear" in the room.
When I was doing some observations my teacher had her door decorated like this book. I think that you could read this book from k-2 and have a "wacky Wednesday" dress up day or get the students to draw what they would wear or do if they had a "wacky Wednesday"!
I think this book would be good for about 1-3 grades. You could use this book as a prop for a fun activity to learn about balance. You could really use this book to talk about numbers, fruit and balance.
